    Now, my possessing the ability to alert this contestant to the correct answer would not have guaranteed that he would have achieved his goal; but, it would have put him one step closer. It definitely would have prevented my startled husband from concluding as he placed his head back down on the pillow that his wife was finally one sandwich short of a full picnic.
    My frustration was due to circumstances that prevented this individual from hearing what I had to say. More often than not, the etiology associated with much of my frustration deals with people not listening to what I have to say. I can only keep repeating what I know to be true over and over, while hoping for a subtle absorption of these words by you, the readers of The Corporate Connection.
    As the Rolling Stones so succinctly put it so many years ago, “time is on my side, yes it is”. I am telling you that time is on

    What do you think provoked my uncharacteristic outburst?
Last night, I sat straight up in bed and began to shout into the darkness, “sleeping sickness, sleeping sickness!”
    My guess is that it all began when Regis Philbin asked this question (for the record, Regis was on his side of the television screen and not mine), “The disease carried by the tsetse fly is commonly known by
what name?”
    As I sat in the dark, I was overcome with frustration by the inability to impart my knowledge to this clueless, albeit deserving, individual who only wanted to become a millionaire.
    Against my fervent pleas that seemingly fell upon deaf ears, he chose malaria as his “final answer” before walking off of the stage carrying a larger than life size check in the amount of
